Join a specialist residential care provider and lead a children’s home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

As Registered Manager, you will:

  • Own the day-to-day running of the home and set a safe, child-centred culture where young people can stabilise and progress.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a staff team, embedding consistent safeguarding practice and high standards of care.
  • Partner closely with the responsible individual, commissioning teams, and external professionals to deliver strong outcomes and maintain full compliance.

  • Permanent
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week (plus on-call)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead from the front. Build a stable team culture aligned to the home’s Statement of Purpose.
  • Drive care planning and outcomes. Maintain a strong, trauma-informed approach.
  • Register with Ofsted and keep the home inspection-ready against Quality Standards and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
  • Recruit, onboard, supervise, and retain staff. Set expectations and support performance.
  • Manage rotas, budgets, and H&S. Maintain a safe, clean, homely environment.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide cover when required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent). If not completed, willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe.
  • Proven senior experience in a children’s home setting (Deputy Manager or Registered Manager level).
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Children Act 1989, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Calm, consistent leadership style with the ability to hold standards and develop people.
  • Comfortable with on-call and out-of-hours escalation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
