Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Product Design Associate to join a leading global footwear brand. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design process for safety footwear collections, working closely with internal teams and international manufacturing partners. You will ensure designs are commercially viable, maintain brand identity, and integrate seamlessly with manufacturing capabilities in Asia. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about footwear design and eager to make a tangible impact on product innovation and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Seasonal Footwear Design: Create full design packs, including sketches, colourways, materials, and specifications, maintaining a consistent brand design language.
- Prototype Review: Evaluate prototypes, provide clear design feedback, and ensure design intent is preserved through production iterations.
- Project Resource Management: Coordinate design briefs, allocate tasks to internal and freelance designers, manage timelines, and oversee project delivery.
- Development Integration: Collaborate with development teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with technical requirements.
- Innovation Material Research: Maintain a library of materials and construction techniques, propose new concepts to enhance performance, comfort, or differentiation.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Present design concepts internally and externally, supporting marketing, sales, and trade events.
Skills Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years in footwear design or product development.
- Knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
