We are looking for an experienced Loss Assessor to support clients with their insurance claims, helping them get fair and timely settlements. This role is perfect for someone with 2-3 years experience in loss assessing or adjusting. If you're great with detail, confident negotiating, and know your way around insurance policies, we'd love to hear from you.
Professional qualifications (like CILA or BDMA) are a bonus, but not required.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assess damage to properties (from things like fire, flood, or leaks) and work out the full extent of the loss.
- Collect all the necessary evidence and write clear, detailed reports to support claims.
- Help clients understand their insurance policies and what they're entitled to.
- Negotiate with insurance companies and their loss adjusters to get the best settlement for the client.
- Coordinate with contractors and surveyors to organise repairs and restoration.
- Manage each claim from start to finish, making sure everything runs smoothly and meets industry standards.
What We're Looking For:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Loss Assessor or Loss Adjuster.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with an eye for detail.
- Good knowledge of insurance policies, claims procedures, and industry rules.
- Ability to manage several claims at once and stay organised in a busy environment.
- CILA and/or BDMA qualifications are a plus, but not essential.
Salary: £25k-£30k starting salary depending on experience. £35k+ available for more experienced candidates.
