Joined Up Institute 2025: A Year-Long Leadership Development Opportunity in Leicester
Empowering Emerging Leaders to Transform Youth Services
The Joined Up Institute (JUI) is a pioneering professional development programme that brings together emerging leaders from across Leicester’s youth-facing sectors. Designed to strengthen collaboration and innovation across services that impact young people, the JUI aims to cultivate a new generation of changemakers equipped to drive systemic improvements across education, health, youth work, and community support.
Now accepting applications for its 2025–2026 pilot cohort, this fully funded, year-long initiative will welcome 300 participants into a bold learning and leadership experience. Through in-person sessions, online workshops, and communities of practice, participants will explore new ways of working together to enhance youth outcomes and community well-being.
Why the Joined Up Institute Matters
Young people’s lives are deeply influenced by the systems that surround them—schools, healthcare, youth services, housing, and local government. However, these systems often operate in silos, leaving gaps in care and missed opportunities for collaboration. The Joined Up Institute was created in response to this fragmentation, investing in leaders who can bridge divides, think systemically, and co-create a more joined-up support system for youth in Leicester.
Whether you work directly with young people or play a supporting role behind the scenes, this programme is for professionals and volunteers committed to building a better future for Leicester’s youth.
What You’ll Gain

Build meaningful relationships across sectors and communities

Develop leadership and systems-thinking skills to navigate complexity and lead with purpose

Be part of a diverse, co-designed cohort experience shaped by local voices and priorities
The programme focuses on real-world problem-solving, collaborative leadership, and personal development. It is grounded in inclusion, systems change, and a shared vision for equity in youth services.
