Who You Are
- 3-5 years shipping products in fast-paced startups: You've owned roadmaps and outcomes in environments where speed, ownership, and creativity matter.
- A product manager with a designer's brain: You do the full PM job, from prioritisation to delivery. Design isn't a handoff for you.
- Full design craft, with the reasoning to back it: You're fluent in Figma and can take an idea from rough wireframe to polished, hi-fi design yourself.
- Built for data-heavy, trust-critical products: Your product lives in dense operational workflows and high-stakes moments where users are trusting us with real decisions and real money.
- Not afraid to ship: You'll happily vibe code a prototype or open a pull request to get an idea across.
- Allergic to generic: You can spot the default AI-product look from a mile away.
- Agentic by nature: You think in systems of intelligent, autonomous components.
- An enabler, never a blocker: You raise the design bar without becoming a gate.
- You get things done: You move with focus and purpose.
What the Job Involves
- Own product outcomes across squads: You'll work across them by project, turning business problems and user pain points into clear, prioritised work.
- Connect the dots: You'll tie projects together across squads, ensuring one coherent product and consistent experience.
- Shape the design direction of the product: You’ll have a strong voice in how Opply looks, feels, and behaves.
- Design for clarity and trust: Make dense, complex workflows feel simple and trustworthy.
- Go deep where it matters: Pick projects where craft moves the needle and go hands-on with wireframes, hi-fi Figma work, even prototype code.
- Set the bar, don't be the gate: Guide engineers to ship great-looking work without waiting on you.
- Shape agentic experiences: Define how users interact with intelligent, autonomous systems.
- Work side by side with Product Engineers: Partner closely from MVP scoping through delivery.
- Talk to users, constantly: Validate ideas early and let real feedback shape what gets built.
- Focus relentlessly on impact: Keep time invested where it drives most meaningful outcomes.
