VmWare Engineer Site: Full-time onsite in either Bracknell or Birmingham Clearance requirement: DV level IR35 Status: Inside Overview: We\’re seeking a VMware Engineer to support the delivery and management of a virtualised infrastructure platform. The role involves ensuring stability, performance, and scalability across VMware environments. Key Responsibilities: Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware infrastructure (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues within virtual environments Handle capacity planning, patching, and upgrades Support backup and disaster recovery strategies for virtualised estates Collaborate with storage, networking, and security teams Document infrastructure, processes, and procedures Key Skills & Experience: Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Understanding of virtual networking and storage concepts Experience with VMware tools like vSAN, NSX, and vRealize Suite (preferred) Proficiency with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerCLI, PowerShell) Familiarity with backup and replication solutions (e.g., Veeam) VMware certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP) are desirable Additional Information: Due to the nature and urgency of this role, candidates holding or who have held high-level security clearance are especially encouraged to apply.
