Opogo and our community of schools are looking for adaptable candidates to work within our Secondary School in Islington, on a long term supply basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant and well-run Secondary School. You will be working 1-1 and in small groups with students who have varying needs. This role would suit someone who has worked in either a mainstream or SEN setting with Secondary-aged pupils, ideally at an inner-London school. Previous school-based experience would be desirable, and candidates must be comfortable working with KS3 and KS4.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Experienced with working with SEND pupils.
  • Good behaviour management skills.
  • Previous experience working with SEND pupils.
  • Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of SEND best practices.
  • Eager to support students academically and emotionally.
  • Ability to work in a team collaboratively to ensure pupil progression academically and emotionally.
  • Understanding of EHCP plans.
