One of our Secondary Schools in the Islington Borough is looking for a Design and Technology Teacher, ideally specialising in Cooking and Nutrition, to join their amazing team of staff supporting their students to excel. This is to cover the Summer 1 and 2 terms, with the likelihood of extension / permanency. There is also the potential for this role to turn into a Head of Department, for the right candidate.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Established experience as a Secondary Design Technology Teacher in a classroom environment
- Experience in Design Technology, ideally Cooking and Nutrition
- Experience teaching KS3 - KS5
- Be able to demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to effectively handle a broad range of behaviours
- High levels of motivation, organisational skills and punctuality
- UK experience highly desirable
- Have a strong understanding of the curriculum and valuable teaching practices
- Be able to inspire, motivate, and engage pupils including those with learning difficulties and SEND needs
