We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a Secondary School.
The Role
Join our inclusive school in Wembley and make a real difference. You will support students\β academic, social, and emotional development, work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals in partner schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored lessons for students with SEND MLD and SLD
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students
- Support the social and emotional development of students
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
- Prepare and organise learning materials and resources
- Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers
- Support students during school activities, outings, and events
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to support student needs
Qualifications And Experience
- Experience working with children aged 11 to 16 years old in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of SEND practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students
The pay range advertised is based on employment through an umbrella company.
