Mission & Responsibilities
- Plant Buyer – manage all MRO and indirect purchasing activities at plant level, ensuring compliance with OP Mobility’s governance rules, purchasing policy and legal standards.
- Manage local purchasing activities and ensure compliance with internal processes.
- Own and evaluate the plant supply base through annual vendor rating.
- Monitor supplier risks with support from Finance (financial health, dependency rate, etc.).
- Benchmark MRO costs with other plants and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop synergies with other buyers to leverage volumes and optimise costs.
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure fair competition and best total cost.
- Manage RFQs, sourcing recommendations and contract implementation.
- Oversee the order‑to‑pay process and propose process optimisations.
- Track performance through KPIs, report savings and drive technical cost reductions.
- Lead or participate in working groups focused on savings and problem‑solving.
Competencies & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering.
- Experience: 3–5 years in purchasing, ideally in an industrial or automotive environment.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management and cost analysis skills.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP tools.
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
- Proactive, analytical and results‑oriented with strong communication skills.
