The position of Plant Cost Controller is offered as a permanent contract, based in our Measham plant, in the UK within the Exterior.
Mission:
- Track and analyze product profitability within budget targets.
- Propose and implement corrective action plans and improvement projects.
- Follow up on main plant indicators (IPI and production KPIs).
- Monitor daily plant key indicators: Sales, Production, Scrap, and Direct Labor Efficiency.
- Support monthly closing processes, including sales and material margin variance analyses vs. budget and forecast.
- Ensure accurate preparation of Budget and Strat Plan in collaboration with the Plant Controller.
- Maintain costing accuracy (BOM, routines, hourly rates) and prepare annual hourly overhead rates.
- Monitor and ensure stock level accuracy (IPI responsibility).
- Participate in the improvement of controlling procedures and internal controls.
- Influence Plant Controller and Management Team to prioritize corrective actions on key variances.
- Provide financial support to the plant management team for action plans related to internal audits, annual stock counts, and dedicated workgroups.
Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification or working towards it.
- At least 3 years of experience in cost controlling within an industrial environment.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and HFM.
- Strong analytical and data synthesis skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Proactive, resourceful, and focused on achieving results.
- Effective communicator, able to positively influence and collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Strong client orientation and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
