The position of Plant Cost Controller is offered as a permanent contract, based in our Measham plant, in the UK within the Exterior.

Mission:

  • Track and analyze product profitability within budget targets.
  • Propose and implement corrective action plans and improvement projects.
  • Follow up on main plant indicators (IPI and production KPIs).
  • Monitor daily plant key indicators: Sales, Production, Scrap, and Direct Labor Efficiency.
  • Support monthly closing processes, including sales and material margin variance analyses vs. budget and forecast.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of Budget and Strat Plan in collaboration with the Plant Controller.
  • Maintain costing accuracy (BOM, routines, hourly rates) and prepare annual hourly overhead rates.
  • Monitor and ensure stock level accuracy (IPI responsibility).
  • Participate in the improvement of controlling procedures and internal controls.
  • Influence Plant Controller and Management Team to prioritize corrective actions on key variances.
  • Provide financial support to the plant management team for action plans related to internal audits, annual stock counts, and dedicated workgroups.

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting qualification or working towards it.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cost controlling within an industrial environment.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and HFM.
  • Strong analytical and data synthesis skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and focused on achieving results.
  • Effective communicator, able to positively influence and collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Strong client orientation and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
