Role Description
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to join our team in Stapleford Abbotts. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing and managing workplace furniture projects from inception to completion.
The successful candidate will coordinate closely with our design, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure smooth project delivery, as well as manage external stakeholders. You will be expected to monitor progress, maintain quality standards, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee furniture design and manufacturing projects from concept through delivery and installation.
- Coordinate with internal teams including design, production, logistics, and sales.
- Manage sub-contractors to ensure seamless collaboration and high-quality outcomes.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders for project materials and services.
- Create and maintain project timelines, tracking progress and identifying potential risks.
- Expedite processes and problem-solve to ensure deadlines are met.
- Conduct quality control checks and inspections to maintain OPM’s standards of excellence.
- Monitor budgets and project costs.
- Act as a of contact for clients, ensuring excellent communication and service.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in project management, ideally in furniture manufacturing, construction, or a related industry.
- Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive under pressure.
- Experience in coordinating with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes or workplace furniture solutions is a plus.
