About OPM Furniture Ltd

OPM Furniture Ltd is a specialist manufacturer and installer of bespoke commercial furniture and architectural metalwork, working with some of the UK’s most exclusive clients and landmark buildings. From concept through to completion, we pride ourselves on precision, quality, and craftsmanship – delivering innovative furniture solutions that elevate workspaces and interior environments.

The Role

We are looking for a talented and detail-driven Draftsman to join our growing team. You will play a key role in the design and development of bespoke furniture and metalwork, working closely with our bid and estimating teams to turn concepts into precise technical drawings for client approval and manufacture.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys creative problem-solving, product development, and working on unique, high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using SolidWorks for both client sign-off and internal production.
  • Collaborate with the bid and estimating team to support tender submissions and project proposals.
  • Develop accurate and efficient manufacturing drawings and BOMs for production.
  • Contribute to new product development, offering innovative and practical design solutions.
  • Attend site visits (mainly in Central London) for surveys, installation reviews, and design coordination.
  • Liaise with project managers, fabricators, and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery.

About You

  • Proficient in SolidWorks (essential).
  • Strong technical drawing and 3D modelling skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working with metalwork, joinery, or furniture design/manufacturing preferred.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to balance aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently when remote, as well as collaboratively within a team.

What We Offer

  • Flexible hybrid working – typically 2–3 days in our Stapleford Abbotts office (negotiable)
  • Opportunity to work on prestigious projects in some of London’s most iconic buildings.
  • Supportive, growing team environment where your input genuinely shapes the products and processes.
