Oplu is leading the search for a Pro-Performance Chef to join a high-profile private athlete household in the Middle East.

This is a newly created role within a small and discreet household team, supporting an elite-level training and competition calendar.

The Pro-Performance Chef will own the daily delivery of periodised, macronutrient-targeted meals set by the Principal’s nutritionist and sports scientist, both at home and on the road.

This is not a private chef role with a nutrition badge on it.

It is a performance-chef position structured around the Principal’s coach, nutritionist, sports scientist, and physiotherapist.

The role

  • Design daily menus to macronutrient targets across pre-season, in-season, competition, taper, recovery, and off-season.
  • Manage competition-week nutrition, including carbohydrate loading, hydration strategy, pre-event meals, and post-event recovery.
  • Batch cook, pre-portion, and prepare travel-ready provisions for training facilities and competition venues.
  • Source high-quality proteins, complex carbohydrates, seasonal produce, and functional ingredients, and manage specialist suppliers.
  • Travel internationally with the Principal, often at short notice, researching local sourcing and kitchen facilities in advance.
  • Feed back to the performance team on dietary compliance, appetite, energy, and recovery.

Who you are

  • Proven Private Chef or Performance Chef in an elite-athlete, professional sports, or comparable high-performance household environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of sports nutrition and periodised menu delivery.
  • Formal nutrition training welcome, but not essential.
  • Comfortable with extensive international travel at short notice.
  • Discreet, calm under pressure, and comfortable operating as part of a wider performance team.
  • Comfortable signing an NDA before further details are shared.

Apply confidentially via Oplu. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
