We're representing a growing business with a network of operational service centres seeking a hands-on Operations Director to help shape the next stage of its operational journey. This is a long-term career appointment.
Key requirements:
- Degree educated and Six Sigma Black Belt certified (highly desirable)
- Proven multi-site operational leadership
- Experience managing operational budgets and commercial performance, ideally with P&L accountability
- A strong track record of implementing Lean, establishing KPIs and delivering measurable operational improvement
- A progressive career demonstrating increasing responsibility, leadership and achievement
The Opportunity:
This is a visible, hands-on leadership role where you'll lead multiple UK locations, build stronger operational disciplines, coach site leaders and create a consistent, high-performing operating model. You'll spend your time where you add the greatest value, supporting operational teams, introducing practical Lean improvements, strengthening accountability and ensuring performance improvements become embedded across the business. Regular UK travel is an essential part of the role.
About You:
You'll probably have built your career within larger, well-managed organisations, giving you first-hand experience of what great operational leadership and best practice look like. More importantly, you've enjoyed applying those standards in environments where your own contribution genuinely influences performance, culture and direction. You're commercially aware, comfortable making decisions and equally at ease reviewing operational performance, setting budgets and KPIs, or spending time with frontline teams to understand what needs to improve. Your background is likely to include engineering, manufacturing, industrial, operational service centres or other multi-site performance-driven environments. We're equally interested in ambitious operational leaders who may be ready for their first Operations Director appointment, provided they can demonstrate exceptional results, leadership capability and the potential to step up successfully.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing organisation where your influence will be visible across multiple locations. If you're looking for a role where you can build, improve and leave a lasting legacy, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
