Main Duties of the Job

The role involves responding to patient queries, liaising with the primary care team, managing appointment requests, signposting patients to a range of services, and maintaining patient records and confidentiality. Additional tasks include emailing, scanning, coding clinical correspondence, and processing prescription requests. Knowledge of information systems to support efficient workflow is also required.

Ideal Candidate

  • Reception or customer care experience is essential as well as an excellent communicator both spoken and written.
  • Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email.
  • Able to work within processes, procedures and maintain confidentiality and data security.
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS is welcome but not essential.

Person Specification / Qualifications

  • Reception or customer care experience.

  • Previous NHS experience an advantage but not essential.
