Main Responsibilities

  • To work closely with the regional nursing, operational and GP team members to ensure all targets are met in line with current guidelines and standards within national service frameworks.
  • Acting within professional boundaries, providing care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
  • Demonstrating safe, clinical decision‑making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice.
  • Demonstrating critical thinking in the clinical decision‑making process.
  • Working collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required.
  • Supporting the Regional Lead Nurse and acting as a deputy as required to ensure a high level of quality and standards at all times.
  • Involved with the implementation and monitoring of all clinical aspects by demonstrating clinical excellence in conjunction with the site clinical lead and assisting with the implementation of any nursing / ACHP redesign and quality strategies to ensure a high quality nursing / AHCP team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • First Level UK registered nurse / Registered AHCP with at least 2 years post qualified experience.
  • Non‑medical Prescriber.
  • Demonstrates sound evidence of academic links.
  • Extensive clinical experience in Primary Care Health settings and managing nursing teams.
  • Understanding of the Lead Role.
