We are looking for a Medical Summariser/Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team.

Kirkby Community Primary Care Centre are looking for a Medical Summariser/Administrator for 20 hours per week.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Summarising existing patient records and new patient records to a high standard and within agreed timescales based on practice procedures.
  • Working with the clinical coding team with responsibility for own areas, inputting coded data into the patient administration system.

Coding information gathered from several sources including patient notes, discharge forms both manual and electric.

  • Producing a comprehensive electronic summary using System One or EMIS.
  • Ideal Candidate
  • Reception or customer care experience is essential as well as an excellent communicator both spoken and written.
  • Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email.
  • Able to work within processes, procedures and maintain confidently and data security.
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS is welcome but not essential.
