Responsibilities
- Lead the reception team on a day‑to‑day operational basis, ensuring services are delivered in a coordinated and efficient manner, in accordance with the service specification and clinical key performance indicators.
- Carry out reception and administrative tasks on a day‑to‑day operational basis, ensuring services are delivered efficiently.
- Work with other receptionists and healthcare professionals to provide a first‑class service to patients.
- Collaborate with other receptionists and healthcare professionals to ensure outstanding service delivery.
- Support the practice manager in ensuring smooth operations, develop efficient management systems and maintain a quality learning environment.
- Act as the front‑line point of contact for patients and stakeholders and deputise when needed.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and basic PC proficiency.
- Familiarity with EMIS software preferred.
- Previous NHS or GP practice experience is advantageous, but not essential.
- Ability to work within established processes while ensuring confidentiality and data security.
