The Croydon GP Hubs are in place to provide urgent, on-the-day care for patients with minor illness or minor injury. We are staffed by a mix of General Practitioners and Advanced Nurse Practitioners, who together provide a wide range of skills, abilities and experience.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide care for presenting patients from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care.
- Demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnosis skills for patients within the general practice.
- Work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting delivery of policy and procedures and providing nurse leadership as required.
Ideal Candidate
- The post holder is an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient including initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
- Demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients with undifferentiated care needs.
- Demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process.
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead and the GP Hub team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required.
- Meet NMC requirements for advanced practice.
- Be an Independent and Supplementary Prescriber.

- Annual salary of up to £60,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
