In this role, you’ll be a key representative of our full range of products and services, collaborating internally to enhance customer relationships and find new opportunities. Operio Group is an international organisation supporting manufacturers of solid dose products (tablets, capsules). Our Bicester site founded our journey as LFA Machines, a family‑run business that has since grown into the wider Operio Group.
Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 plus OTE.
Benefits: 30 Days off (incl Bank Holidays) earning 1 day more per year in first 3 years, bonus/commission, international travel, annual pay reviews, investing in your skills growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality technical support both on‑site and remotely across our product range.
- Carry out services including installation, commissioning, training, maintenance, and fault resolution to an excellent standard.
- Provide practical, hands‑on training to customers covering safe operation, maintenance basics, and troubleshooting.
- Identify and fix mechanical, electrical, and software faults across various machines.
- Complete routine servicing and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and maintain performance.
- Accurately log service activities and repairs within internal systems to maintain a clear service history.
- Plan and coordinate service visits with internal teams and customers, providing service dates and updates.
- Maintain service tools and spare parts inventory to ensure readiness for travel and on‑site repairs.
- Support internal product testing and validation (incl. operating machinery, identifying potential issues), working with engineering and quality teams where required.
- Provide feedback from field work to internal departments to help improve product design, usability, and documentation.
- Contribute to the creation of technical resources such as manuals, guides, and service procedures.
- Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for upgrades, passing leads to the sales team.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years in similar role, delivering excellent customer experience with strong communication skills, (electromechanical machinery or production equipment a plus).
- Degree/diploma in related technical field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance…) or equivalent practical experience.
- National travel up to 75%. International travel may be required (passport needed).
- Must hold valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems (e.g. PLCs, HMIs) with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
- Self‑motivated problem solver who can work independently and manage priorities efficiently.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and carry out tasks involving bending, kneeling, or climbing.
Desirable: Experience within pharmaceutical, food, or manufacturing environments.
