Job Description

Junior / Trainee – Fire Safety Engineer

Looking for a hands-on practical person with a full UK drivers licence living in the SE of London area.

This role comes with full training.

Basic salary of £28000 + company van (business use only).

Standard hours Mon – Fri, 40 hours per week.

Initially you will be responsible for putting up correct fire signage in flats, like: the green fire exit arrows, "Fire Door Keep Shut" badges, Fire Action Information stickers etc.

You will be taught how to measure and produce simple sketches of the communal area, so the CAD Technician can create Fire Zone Charts (basic floor plan type maps the fire brigade require).

Additional duties will include weekly fire alarm systems test, and monthly emergency lighting tests.

To apply for this job you require:

  • A full UK drivers’ licence
  • To live in the South East of London area
  • Be confident using hand tools

This role has a proven career progression into working as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer.Once confident in your role you will start undertaking basic remedial repairs on the Fire and Emergency Lighting systems.
