Installation and Service Engineer – Sub-contract (mostly nights)

Looking for a central belt Scotland (Glasgow / Edinburgh) based Sub-contract Engineer with own vehicle, tools, valid CSCS or ECS card and transferrable skills doing Data Cabling, Networking, and equipment / systems installations.

This client will train you on their loss prevention systems, that are installed into retail stores.

The requirement is to be available for mostly Installations Projects and some ad hoc Service Calls across Scotland. You can often fit this contract around other work.

The installations usually take place out of core hours, so you must be flexible to work evenings / nights.

Indicative rates are £200 – £225 for nights, with additional opportunity to earn more for undertaking PPM\’s and service calls during the day.

The night rate covers up to 8 hours (the install jobs rarely take more than 2-4 hours) and includes up to 50-mile radius travel expenses (first 100 miles). Thereafter 45p per mile and additional overtime is paid.

Would suit an experienced Data Cabler, CCTV Engineer, Security Systems Installer or any similar Network Data Cabling experienced Engineer.

This job will start with an initial training course on the client’s equipment and software (planned for the 15-17th December).

We are looking for a sub-contractor that is interested in a long-term relationship.
