Job Description
Data Cabling Installations Engineer – Retail Projects
Looking for an experienced Field Engineer to join a growing UK wide team who undertake new openings projects, moves and changes work for IT and EPOS systems within mostly retail environments across the UK.
This role is to mostly cover projects around the Central England area, ideally we are looking for an Engineer in the NN postcode area.
Applicants for this role must be flexible, as if there is no work locally, you will travel to support other areas. This may include occasional overnight stays.
Standard hours are 40 hours per week, with all are hours paid including travel time, so there is plenty of overtime potential. Premium rates of x1.5 for all additional hours.
Work is scheduled mostly Mon – Friday, with occasional weekends.
To apply for this role you must have:
- Previous experience assisting on similar installations projects, Cat 5 / 6 data cabling, terminating and testing.
- Be physically confident using ladders, drills and hand tools.
- Full UK drivers licence (with max 6 points).
- No issues passing a basic DBS check.
- Live in within about 45 mins drive Northampton.
Useful experience would include:
- Previous EPOS systems Retail environment projects experience
- Any site safety cards e.g. ECS, CSCS, IPAF etc.
Salary:
- Basic £31000 for 40 hours Mon – Fri, 8 hours a day.
- Expensed co. van (with personal use) all tools, uniform, PPE, expenses credit card & fuel card, phone and laptop all provided.
