Aerial and Satellite Engineer – Commercial environments

Looking for an experienced ex-Sky Satellite Dish or UHF TV Aerial Installer/Engineer living within 1 hour drive of the Scottish Engineer\’s store in Glasgow G41.

Responsibilities

  • Support a number of TV Reception systems contracts across Scotland for commercial clients, including Sky Systems in pubs and gyms.
  • Install and maintain TV reception systems (both UHF and Satellite) in hotels and SIS TV reception equipment in betting shops, casinos, racecourses, and similar environments.
  • Work with AV and Wi-Fi networks as part of onsite systems.
  • Provide training on commercial RF distribution and IPTV systems when needed.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Must have experience as an ex-Sky Satellite Dish or UHF TV Aerial Installer/Engineer.
  • Living within 1 hour drive of the Glasgow G41 area.
  • Full valid driver’s licence and ability to drive a van confidently.
  • Physically capable of using ladders and power tools.
  • Preferred: experience with networked systems, RF, Wi-Fi networks, Data cabling, or related subjects.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: GBP 28,000 – GBP 30,000 basic (depending on experience).
  • GBP 2,500 on call; overtime with an average of GBP 3,000+ per annum.
  • Company van provided.
  • Full-time permanent PAYE position with paid holidays, pension, uniform, tools, and expenses (fuel, parking, tools) paid.
