Looking for an experienced Carpenter to mostly do remedials, service and maintain work on fire doors that have been found to be non-compliant with new regulations. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has knowledge of Fire Doors although training can be offered.
This is a full-time permanent role with expensed company van, tools, uniform, expenses credit card etc. The work is across the South Coast from Southampton to Brighton. An ideal home location would be anywhere around Havant, Portsmouth, or Chichester.
The client is a large social housing association with hundreds of blocks of flats and MDU properties. The Employer holds BM Trada Fire Door Certification and is a specialist in Fire Life Safety Systems company.
Service calls are 1-2 man jobs depending on the nature of issues, you will mostly work on your own. Standard hours are Monday to Friday 08:30-16:30. Salary depending on experience £36-£38K + Van, paid holidays, pension, and business use company van.
To apply for this role, you must:
- be an experienced Carpenter confident hanging a wide variety of doors (with ideally Fire Door experience)
- hold a full manual UK drivers licence (max 6 points)
- have a clear DBS (criminal records check)
- live between Southampton and Brighton (ideally in the PO postcode area)
In addition, you will also be trained to undertake Fire Door Inspections and create reports. Applicants need to be confident on IT, e-mails, attaching/uploading files, filling in online reports etc.
