Operation Wallacea is a network of academics from European and North American universities who design and implement biodiversity and conservation management research programmes across 10 countries worldwide. We are currently recruiting for a herpetofauna scientist to work at our UK site based at the Knepp Estate in West Sussex. Positions will ideally be for 7 consecutive weeks between 22nd June and 9th August.

The position will involve carrying out reptile refugia surveys and newt bottle trapping with torching as part of a large-scale monitoring programme across the rewilding site. Applicants should have experience working in the field, a biological undergraduate degree level or higher, and extensive survey experience as well as a GCN licence.
