Horizon Teachers are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Caretaker / Site Assistant to support a welcoming primary school in Redbridge. You will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure the school premises remain safe, secure, clean and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs and routine checks across the school site.
- Support with opening, closing and securing the school buildings when required.
- Monitor health and assist with cleaning duties, deep cleans and maintaining internal and external areas.
- Support with deliveries, moving furniture and setting up rooms for school events and lettings.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caretaking, site maintenance, cleaning or a similar practical role.
- Good general maintenance and DIY skills, with the ability to carry out minor repairs.
- A good understanding of workplace health.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous school experience and an Enhanced DBS would be advantageous.
