We are working with an outstanding, purpose-built secondary special school in Twickenham to find a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term role starting ASAP. This is more than just a job; it’s a chance to be part of a genuinely exceptional team that believes every young person deserves to achieve their full potential and live as independently as possible. You’ll be supporting pupils aged 11-16 with Autism and complex learning needs in small, nurturing class groups where your presence truly matters every single day.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism and complex needs
- Helping young people build confidence, independence and resilience
- Supporting EHCPs and personalised learning plans alongside class teachers
- Creating a calm, safe and engaging environment where every pupil can thrive
- Collaborating with a passionate team of teachers, therapists and support staff
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting young people with Autism or SEND
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and helping pupils grow
- Patience, empathy and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- A team player who models kindness and positivity every day
- Knowledge of Makaton or AAC approaches is a bonus
