We are working with an outstanding, purpose-built secondary special school in Twickenham to find a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term role starting ASAP. You'll be supporting pupils aged 11β16 with Autism and complex learning needs in small, nurturing class groups where your presence truly matters every single day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism and complex needs
- Helping young people build confidence, independence and resilience
- Supporting EHCPs and personalised learning plans alongside class teachers
- Creating a calm, safe and engaging environment where every pupil can thrive
- Collaborating with a passionate team of teachers, therapists and support staff
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting young people with Autism or SEN
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and helping pupils grow
- Patience, empathy and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- A team player who models kindness and positivity every day
- Knowledge of Makaton or AAC approaches is a bonus
