Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

The Role: As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting. You’ll play a central role in coordinating the month-end close process while supporting the wider finance function with technical guidance and day-to-day accounting activities. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure across the group, offering the opportunity to contribute to a growing and evolving business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts
  • VAT returns
  • Payment runs
  • Support the team for technical help and queries
  • Answer calls & emails for the finance teams shared inboxes and phone lines
  • Weekly and monthly reporting to the wider business
  • Assist with the credit control
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and month end journals
  • Help with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Assist and complete ad hoc requests
  • Variance analysis
  • Assist the payroll function

About You: We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised, and motivated to add value within a fast-paced and growing group environment. You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role
  • ACCA or CIMA qualification (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes
  • Good working knowledge of payroll processes and financial systems
  • Excellent Excel skills and confidence using accounting software such as Sage or Xero
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage deadlines and coordinate effectively with stakeholders across the business
  • A professional and discreet approach when handling confidential financial information
