Horizon Teachers are seeking an experienced and proactive School Premises Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance and security of a busy school site. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and organised professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, compliant and well-presented learning environment for staff and pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation, security and maintenance of the school premises.
- Conduct routine health & safety, fire safety and statutory compliance checks.
- Coordinate contractors and manage planned and reactive maintenance works.
- Ensure the school site is safe, secure and fully operational for the school day and school events.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and support the supervision of site staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a School Premises Manager, Site Manager or Facilities Manager, ideally within a school environment.
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation, statutory compliance and general building maintenance.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
