The successful applicant will:
- Have at least 6 months of classroom experience
- Be skilled in working with early learners who display challenging behaviours
- Have a track record of success with early learners and pre-verbal primary aged learners
- De-escalate situations in the first instance
- Be a strong advocate for inclusion in a mainstream school
Role responsibilities:
- Working 1:1 with 2 learners with SEN in a mainstream primary school
- Taking responsibility for safeguarding the learners and other children as necessary
- Monitoring and managing behaviour in line with school policy and relevant IEPs
- Anticipating and facilitating movement breaks
- Delivering differentiated learning as directed
- Assisting the teacher as required
