Horizon Teachers is looking for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly Primary School in Ealing to work within their Year 5 class. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with a child in KS2 that has Special Educational Needs and requires support within lessons. You will be required to work with them on a 1:1 basis to assist the class teacher in managing their behaviour and keeping them engaged in lessons and class activities.
This school prides itself on creating a nurturing environment that helps children succeed and have the best start to their educational journey. This is a long-term Teaching Assistant role until the end of the school year, starting after February half-term until July on a full-time basis – with the potential to continue in this position in the next academic year.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children with SEND as a Teaching Assistant.
- Be patient, caring, and committed to helping children reach their potential.
- Be able to support learning both 1:1 and in small groups.
- Have experience supporting children with challenging behaviour.
- Have good communication and teamwork skills.
