Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs?

We are recruiting a caring and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Hillingdon.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, nurturing and committed to supporting pupils with severe and complex needs to achieve their full potential.

You will work as part of a supportive team, assisting pupils with a range of profound learning difficulties, complex needs and additional requirements.

You will play a key role in supporting children both academically and personally, helping them to feel safe, valued and encouraged throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with severe and complex SEND needs across the school day.
  • Working closely with class teachers and specialist staff to support learning and development.
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and sensory needs.
  • Assisting with personal care routines, including toileting, changing and intimate care where required.
  • Encouraging communication, engagement and independence.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • The confidence and willingness to support pupils with complex needs, including personal care requirements.
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND, complex needs and profound learning disabilities.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference.
  • A caring, patient and compassionate approach.
  • Teaching roles require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (as applicable); enhanced DBS check and verification of original qualifications are part of the registration process.
