Responsibilities

  • Supporting classroom teachers in the planning, preparation and delivery of lessons across the curriculum
  • Working with small groups or one-to-one pupils (including those with additional learning needs) to reinforce learning, pre-teach or provide targeted catch-up support
  • Assist pupils to develop their social, emotional and behavioural skills by modelling positive behaviour, encouraging independence and resilience
  • Adapting resources and learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles
  • Contributing to staff meetings, CPD and school initiatives that support the wider development of pupils
  • Supervision of pupils during transitions, break times, lunchtimes or other non-classroom settings as required
  • Help maintain a safe, stimulating well-resourced classroom environment

About You

  • Has prior experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
  • Holds relevant qualification (Level 2/3 in Childcare, TA or equivalent) or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Is resilient, flexible, patient and able to adapt to changing classroom needs
  • Is organised, proactive and able to take initiative while also working as part of a team
  • Is committed to inclusion, equality and supporting every child's development
