We are currently working with a SEND School looking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team, working closely with children and young people with complex special educational needs. This school caters for children aged 4-11 years old that have severe learning difficulties, complex needs and an additional diagnosis of Autism. Their experienced team is committed to providing individualised learning plans and support to best help each child thrive.
About the Role as a Teaching Assistant: The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and a multidisciplinary team to support pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, severe and profound learning difficulties, communication needs, sensory needs and associated behavioural challenges. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils’ learning, wellbeing and personal development in a structured, nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils.

- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists and families.
