The Opportunity
We're looking for a Finance & Operations Administrator who not only takes pride in doing things accurately but is curious about improving how everyday tasks are done. This is a hands‐on, finance‐led role, with some operational and team support alongside it. It will suit someone who enjoys working with numbers and processes and learning new systems, tools and approaches over time. We're supportive of change and modern tools, including AI, so we're looking for someone who enjoys learning, builds confidence quickly and is open to new ways of working.
The Role
Your work will focus primarily on finance, with additional operational support as needed. You'll work closely with the Head of Operations & Growth and the Founder, supporting day‐to‐day finance, operations and administration. The role is varied and hands‐on with a real opportunity to make an impact in a lean, collaborative team.
- Finance (primary focus):
- Assisting with bookkeeping, purchasing, VAT, PAYE and financial reporting
- Processing invoices, expenses and payments accurately and on time
- Supporting cash‐flow tracking, budgets and basic forecasting
- Supplier onboarding
- Dealing with account queries
- Maintaining accurate records and reconciliations
- Using internal systems to ensure financial data is complete and reliable
- Operations and team support (secondary):
- Day‐to‐day administrative support for the team
- Supporting repeatable processes across finance and operations
- Liaising with colleagues and suppliers to keep things moving
- Identifying simple improvements to processes and ways of working
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding
- Maintaining personnel and company records

- Fathom (financial forecasting)

- AI-assisted tools
Ways of Working
This role provides essential day‐to‐day cover, so reliability and availability matter. 20 hours per week worked across five days. Hours worked within core business hours (10am–4pm). Predictable, consistent availability rather than ad‐hoc working. Fully remote with quarterly travel to London, expenses paid. Up to £28k pro‐rata (based on 40 hours), depending on experience. 25 days annual leave (pro‐rata). Workplace pension.
About you
You'll be a strong fit for the role if you have:
- Strong practical bookkeeping and basic accounting skills
- Experience with financial reporting, cash flow and budgets
- Payroll knowledge (highly desirable)
- Confidence using modern finance, CRM and Microsoft 365 tools
