Opera Beds is an established, fast-growing, family-owned business specialising in profiling care beds and mattresses for care organisations, trade retailers and consumers at home. To support with sales growth, we are looking to grow our retailer account management team to help continue growth with our existing clients and ensure they are well serviced.
As Account Manager, you will join our retailer sales team and be responsible for account management of our retailer customers (mobility shops and furniture stores) in the north of the UK. To be successful in this role you will grow customer sales through building strong relationships, unearthing new sales opportunities, in-store product training, staff sales training, new product introductions and promotional campaigns. The role is a field sales role where you will be required to be out visiting customers 3-4 days per week and office-based at our Hull head office for the remaining day/s.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and growth of 100 store-level accounts that vary in size and turnover
- Sales activity includes phone sales, F2F visits, in-store product training & demos and POS management and follow up of opportunities
- Review weekly account spend reports to identify areas for growth and resulting actions
- 3-4 days per week field sales visits, ensuring each account is visited every 3-6 months
- 1-2 days office based in Hull head office - proactive account management calls, video meetings, account reviews, booking F2F appointments and following up on visit actions
- Identify opportunities for new accounts whilst out and about and inform sales manager
- Area covered: East Midlands, West Midlands, North Wales, North West, Yorks and Humber, North East, Scotland
- Salary of £36-38k + profit share scheme enrolment
- 23 days holidays + bank holidays
- Company car provided or car allowance
- Working hours: 8am – 4.30pm
