The opportunity involves working on complex change initiatives throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include:
- Uncovering underlying problems and stating why they should be addressed.
- Structuring and defining the needs of stakeholders to find the best solutions.
- Bridging the gap between stakeholder needs and technical solutions.
- Leading Business Analysis activities within Openwork's Business Analysis Framework.
- Bringing a blend of analytical insight and practical experience across business change and IT improvement programmes.
- Supporting and upskilling other business analysts across the function.
This is a permanent, hybrid role based in our Swindon office, requiring 2-3 days in the office each week.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with business stakeholders to understand the As-Is and their vision and goals.
- Defining Problem Statements and the benefits of fixing those problems.
- Developing solution-agnostic stakeholder needs into structured outputs.
- Conducting options analysis to inform recommendations for the Business Case.
- Collaborating with Business Subject Matter Experts to update and create processes, procedures, communication, and training material.
- Analysing current processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
- Producing clear and detailed User Stories/Requirements to enable build, test, and delivery.
- Managing strong stakeholder relationships and facilitating meetings and workshops.
- Presenting findings to Sponsor and Stakeholder groups.
- Supporting build, test, and business readiness throughout the project lifecycle.
- Setting the approach and plan for Business Analysis work packages and leading junior BAs.
- Conducting data analysis and interpretation from various sources.
- Identifying trends, patterns, and insights from complex data sets.
- Producing relevant documentation to support governance.
- Facilitating prioritisation of requirements and resolving conflicts.
- Communicating requirements and insights effectively to stakeholders and the technology team.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented changes.
- Acting as a senior liaison between the project team, business stakeholders, and the technology team.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Working with third parties and development teams to ensure understanding of requirements.
- Collaborating with test teams to ensure full testing of the solution.
- Supporting project management activities with data-driven insights.
- Assisting in planning and executing cross-functional projects.
- Ensuring projects align with strategic goals and objectives.
What you will need to succeed:
- Experience in business analysis within the financial services industry.
- Proven experience in complex business and systems analysis.
- Relevant qualifications such as BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field, or relevant experience.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies is advantageous.
- Experience on projects delivered by third-party vendors.
- Some experience in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau) is advantageous.
