Paraplanner Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Location: City of London Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience) Please note: The office is currently based in Cannon Street, London, but will be relocating to Ongar High Street, Essex, in the new year. This is not a hybrid position, so candidate based in East London or Essex, with the ability to drive, would be ideal. About the role: We are seeking a qualified Level 4 CII Diploma Paraplanner to join our dynamic and well-established financial advisory firm with over 35 years of experience serving high net worth clients. Based in the heart of London, our firm has built a strong reputation for delivering tailored financial advice and fostering long-term client relationships. Our team is passionate about development, and for the right candidate, this role offers a clear pathway to becoming a financial advisor. In this role, you will need to prepare and produce robust suitability reports, as well as providing technical research, new business submissions and client administration services to our Financial Advisors, covering a variety of advice types. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare suitability reports, using the templates provided, for a wide variety of advice types * Carry out technical research on recommended products, along with fund research, where required. * Ensure all client information, relevant compliance, internal business documents and provider documents have been completed and are located on the system. * Ensure all tasks are carried out and completed in line with company policy and procedures. * Maintain awareness of, and act in accordance with all compliance and legislative obligations. * Discuss client objectives with the Financial Adviser, identifying where further necessary client information is required, in order to prepare suitability reports. * Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues. * Deal effectively with queries from colleagues and other parties through effective communication. * Liaise with product providers and other third parties effectively, where required. * Accurately and efficiently support the Wealth Management team to enable the achievement of internal business targets for suitability reports, research, business submission and administration. * Proactively enhance industry and company knowledge, through external and internal sources. Required Skills and Qualifications: * Communication: Able to adapt the language, style and method of communication depending on the needs of the client or colleague * Organisation: Can prioritise daily tasks, and restructure day as ah-hoc duties require, arranging client related tasks as a priority * Customer Service: Understand what good customer service is and prioritise customer work to deliver good service * Teamwork & Collaboration: Understand the importance of teamwork and how collaboration can improve outcomes. * Technology: Understand and be able to use technology for the role effectively * Expertise: Has required expertise to do the role and understand areas for improvement & looking for opportunities to develop. Minimum qualification of Level 4 CII Diploma in Financial Planning but will consider candidates on a path to qualification. Benefits: * Opportunities for professional growth and development.
