The opportunity involves working on complex change initiatives throughout the project lifecycle. You will be:
- Uncovering the underlying problems and stating why we should address them.
- Structuring and defining the needs of the stakeholders to find the best solutions.
- Bridging the gap between stakeholder needs and technical solutions to ensure delivery meets business goals.
You may need to lead the Business Analysis activities on the programmes within Openwork's Business Analysis Framework. You’ll bring a blend of analytical insight and practical experience across business change and I.T improvement programmes, including process design, system enhancements, and operational efficiencies. You’ll also play a vital role in supporting and upskilling other business analysts across the function.
This is a permanent, hybrid role, based in our Swindon office, with the requirement to be in the office 2‑3 days a week.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with business stakeholders to understand the As-Is and their vision and goals.
- Defining Problem Statements and the benefit of fixing those problems.
- Developing solution agnostic Stakeholder needs into structured outputs that enable the right solution to be found.
- Options analysis to feed into recommendations for the Business Case.
- Working with Business Subject Matter Experts to update and create processes, procedures, communication, and training material as a result of change execution or to eliminate waste or improve performance.
- Analysing current processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and technological enhancement.
- Producing clear and detailed User Stories/Requirements to enable build, test, and delivery.
- Strong Stakeholder Management and the ability to undertake the right engagement at the right time to elicit requirements and gain approval.
- Producing relevant documentation to support governance and appropriate sessions ensuring all end-to-end processes and relevant business areas have been considered.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented changes.
- Acting as a senior liaison between the project team, business stakeholders, and the technology team.
What will you need to succeed?
- Experience in business analysis, with experience working within the financial services industry.
- Proven experience in complex business and systems analysis, translating business needs into functional and technical requirements.
- Relevant qualifications such as BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field, or relevant experience.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies is advantageous.
- Experience on projects delivered by 3rd party vendors.
- Some experience in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau) advantageous.
