The opportunity: As Senior Manager - Financial Planning and Analysis, you'll lead the Group's planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles, owning the operational and project cost base and delivering insightful performance reporting and leading an FP&A centre of excellence (team of 5). You'll provide commercial challenge, financial analysis and strategic insight to support long-term planning and improve decision‑making at Executive and Board level. This role is based in our head office in Swindon, with 3 days a week required in our office.

- Bonus - on target - 17.5%

Key responsibilities:
- Lead the Group annual budgeting and periodic re-forecasting processes, ensuring alignment to strategic goals.
- Develop robust financial models for scenario planning, sensitivities, stress testing and long‑range forecasting.
- Partner & influence with business unit leaders to gather inputs, challenge assumptions and ensure plans are accurate and achievable.
- Line management responsibilities for the FP&A team.
- Deliver monthly performance reporting (KPIs, drivers, cost and profitability), providing actionable insight on trends, risks and opportunities.
- Present performance updates and strategic insights to senior leadership, executive committees and the Board as required.
- Own the operational and project cost base, ensuring robust business cases and identifying operational cost efficiencies.
- Improve FP&A processes, tools and financial systems to strengthen controls, data integrity, forecasting methodology and insight quality.
- Lead, develop and coach the FP&A team, embedding a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and analytical excellence.
What will you need to succeed?
- Finance qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 5+ years PQE.
- Proven FP&A / commercial finance experience, ideally within Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of financial services performance drivers and the regulatory environment.
- Hands‑on budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Experience using FP&A tools and improving reporting / planning processes.
- Able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including Executive Committee and Board.
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem‑solving capability.
- Clear communicator who can translate complex financial information into practical actions.
- Confident producing high‑quality presentation materials (e.g., PowerPoint) for senior audiences.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and good governance.
- Advanced Excel and modelling skills.
- A leadership style that sets clear expectations, drives accountability and builds high performance.
