We’rehiring an Agentic Tech Leadto power the Zero Friction tribe-Openwork’s Automation Centre of Excellence.
This is a pivotal role with a clear mandate: remove friction from the business.
You’lldesign and deliver agentic AI and automation solutions thateliminatemanual effort, streamline operations, and fundamentally improve how work gets done.
This is a true hands-on leadership role.
You’llspend half your time building; developing agentic workflows in Microsoft Foundry, designing automation pipelines in Power Automate, and integrating across the Microsoft estate, and the other half leading engineers, setting standards, and driving technical excellence across the tribe.
Openwork is Azure-native and Microsoft-first, with an automation stack built on Microsoft Foundry, Power Automate, and AI Builder.
You’llbe the expert in this space-shaping how these tools are used, defining reusable patterns, and guiding the evolution of the stack.
This role is suited to someone alreadyoperatingat depth with agentic AI in production, who understands both its potential and the governancerequiredto deploy it safely in a regulated financial services environment.
This is a hybrid role based in Swindon, with 3 days required in the office.

- Your responsibilities will include
- Leading the end-to-end design and delivery of agentic AI and automation solutions, from concept to production
- Building and governing multi-agent workflows in Microsoft Foundry, including LLM orchestration, RAG patterns, and AI-driven automation
- Designing and delivering automation using Power Automate and AI Builder (document processing, OCR, data extraction, process automation)
- Architect process orchestration and integrate with downstream systems across the business
- Defining andmaintaininga technical patterns library (reusable components, prompts, workflow blueprints)
- Line managing and developing the Zero Friction engineering team, driving performance and capability
- Setting and enforcing engineering standards across quality, testing, observability, and documentation
- Partnering with Architecture and CTO leadership on agentic AI strategy and governance
- Evaluating emerging tools and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations.
- What will you need to succeed
- Proven experience delivering agen tic AI solutions at scale
- Deepexpertisein Microsoft automation and AI stack(Power Automate, AI Builder, Azure AI, Foundry or equivalent)
- Experiencewith process orchestration platforms (e. g. Enate, Camunda, Service Now)
- Strongtrack recordof technical leadership and team development
- Experience working in regulated environments (financial services preferred)
- Expert in LLM orchestration, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent systems
- Advanced Power Platform knowledge (flows, integrations, orchestration)
- Strong . NET development background for integrations and extensions
- Familiarity with Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Key Vault, Cognitive Services)
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering and agent governance
- Deep understanding of GDPR, data residency, and AI governance
- Security-first approach (access control, auditability, prompt injection mitigation).
