The predicted salary is between 43200 - 60000 ÂŁ per year.
To carry out both risk based 2LoD compliance monitoring in accordance with the Compliance Plan and providing compliance advice to business units, helping to ensure that all activities are carried out within the regulatory framework. Using knowledge and experience of the regulatory landscape and consumer duty expectations and requirements to provide appropriate challenge and support to the business. This is a Hybrid role with 3 days based in our Leeds office.

Key Accountabilities:
- Supporting the Risk and Compliance Director in the development and delivery of the risk assessment and Compliance Plan setting out an appropriate programme of risk-based compliance assurance activities.
- Undertaking a variety of monitoring and assurance activities including compliance-based thematic reviews, opinions and outcome monitoring.
- Advising business areas, as appropriate, on recommended control improvements, driving ownership, accountability and timely completion of actions.
- Providing compliance consultancy to key stakeholders at all levels across the business to enhance understanding of regulatory, financial crime and data protection requirements. This includes identifying and managing conduct risk and supports the continued development of a customerâcentric culture.
- Assessing and interpreting relevant regulatory output, to instigate a programme of regulatory change which supports adherence to evolving regulatory requirements. This includes driving ownership, accountability and timely completion of actions.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with first line operational management and key stakeholders.
- Supporting and proâactively working with the Risk and Compliance Director to effectively manage and deliver FCA regulatory visits, requests and thematic reviews to a high standard, enhancing our relationship with the regulator.
What will you need to succeed?
- Operational compliance experience in financial services industry, in a 2LoD capacity.
- Strong understanding and experience of 2LoD compliance monitoring techniques and regulatory requirements.
- Level 4 or similar level of professional qualification to the role.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of the regulatory landscape and emerging industry risks.
- Good knowledge of regulatory framework, particularly conduct risk and Conduct of Business Rules.
- Working knowledge of data protection legislation and financial crime frameworks.
- Up to date knowledge of relevant FCA Handbook.
- Good market, risk and business awareness.
- Exceptionally wellâorganized, with a proven track record of maintaining detailed records and robust audit trails.
- Problem Solving, interpretation, decision making and judgement skills.
