Your Impact:

We're looking to welcome a Senior Project Manager to join their growing UKI Professional Services Team. You are a collaborative, adaptable, and communicative communicator who can establish and grow relationships during customer engagements within Agile, hybrid, and traditional projects. Open Text Professional Services helps customers plan, govern, and execute their journey to IT value so they can run and transform simultaneously. Our services offer the tailored solutions needed to plan, build, run, and continuously optimize.

What the role offers:

  • Project governance and management including planning.
  • Provide customers with a single point of contact for all the Open Text solutions.
  • Provide a responsive resource to the customer throughout specific engagements that can adapt to their internal processes.
  • Keep the customer informed throughout periods of specific activity and engage in the collaborative development of Open Text solutions.
  • Managing project finances (costs, revenue, P&L, forecasts) to meet or exceed budgets/targets.
  • Achievement of the Professional Services target for the customer(s) to which the Project Manager is aligned.
  • Achievement of Delivery Margin targets on activities following successful proposals.
  • Customer relationship management for delivery engagements.
  • Build relationships with valued customers.
  • Establish relationships with customer sponsors, their teams & other key influencers in the customer, including the wider business when appropriate.
  • Commercial Management (working to contract (SOW)).
  • Make sure customer expectations are aligned with Open Text product capabilities and with what the customer is paying for; both what they have licensed and the services they have acquired.
  • Work with Open Text business units to ensure the customer gets what they have paid for.
  • Team management, including both internal and external resources.
  • Mentoring and encouraging skill development of project team members.
  • Providing performance review input and development recommendations for team members.
  • Support sales and presales in identifying new opportunities within customers, assist in assessing and qualifying opportunities, assist in shaping proposals / SOWs and in managing these through approval/governance.
  • Being an ambassador for OpenText, its products, and its services.

What you need to succeed:

  • Previous demonstrated experience in project management ideally within a professional services organization.
  • Experience managing software implementation projects.
  • Experience in leading large/complex, multi-faceted, multi-end-user business organizations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with customers, partners, and other external organizations.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, collaborative, matrixed environment.
  • Experience working with the UK Government.
  • Excellent communicator at all levels.
  • Experience with Agile (preferably Scaled Agile) frameworks, methods, and techniques.
  • Experience with traditional waterfall methods.
  • Bid management/business development.
  • Project risk management.

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a high level of Security Clearance. This is a hybrid role, and the successful candidate will be required to work from various customer locations on a regular basis (3 days per week).
