Working onsite as part of ESP Global Services, you'll provide hands‑on IT support to users operating in a complex, security‑controlled technical environment. You'll gain exposure to enterprise infrastructure, networking hardware and tightly governed IT processes while developing your skills alongside experienced technical teams.

What you'll be doing
As a Level 1 Desktop Support Engineer, you'll be one of the first points of technical support onsite, diagnosing and resolving day‑to‑day hardware, software, operating system and connectivity issues.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing, supporting and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, monitors, printers and other IT peripherals.
- Providing hands‑on PC break/fix and deskside support to end users.
- Supporting Windows operating systems and desktop applications.
- Resolving basic LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN and connectivity issues.
- Supporting routine Active Directory activities including password resets, account unlocks and existing group membership.
- Assisting with Microsoft Office, antivirus and company‑specific application deployments.
- Providing basic support for iOS and Android devices.
- Performing Smart Hands activities on networking and infrastructure equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, racks and cabinets under the direction of senior or remote technical teams.
- Managing incidents and service requests through the ticketing system and working to agreed service levels.
- Escalating more complex infrastructure, network and security issues to Level 2 and specialist teams.
What we're looking for
You'll ideally have 1–3 years' experience in IT infrastructure, desktop, deskside or end‑user support , together with a practical understanding of:
- Windows desktop environments and PC hardware.
- Hardware installation, diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP fundamentals.
- VPN, RDP and basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
- Active Directory and basic identity administration.
