DevOps & Cloud Platform Engineer
Location: London, UK (Hybrid) Employment Type: Fixed-Term Employment / Contract (Inside IR35)
We are seeking an experienced DevOps & Cloud Platform Engineer to support the delivery of secure, scalable, and highly reliable cloud-native solutions. Working within a modern AWS environment, you will play a key role in automating infrastructure, strengthening platform security, enhancing observability, and enabling efficient software delivery through CI/CD best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Ensure secure cloud operations through robust IAM, access control, and security best practices.
- Build and maintain scalable, resilient, and highly available platforms and services.
- Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable software delivery.
- Implement and manage environment provisioning, configuration, and release automation.
- Drive observability across applications and platforms through logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoring solutions.
- Support incident management, performance optimisation, and platform reliability initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to embed DevOps and cloud-native best practices.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Deep understanding of AWS IAM, cloud security, and governance.
- Experience designing and supporting enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of observability frameworks and tools, including OpenTelemetry.
- Experience implementing logging, monitoring, metrics, and distributed tracing solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, scalability, resilience, and operational excellence.
- Security-focused mindset with experience in secure platform engineering.
Desired Experience:
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Knowledge of containerised and cloud-native platforms.
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices and automation tooling.
- Experience supporting production workloads in enterprise-scale environments.
