The position
We are seeking a fluent English & German speaking, hardworking and dedicated Senior Marketing Specialist to work on all aspects of and implement multi‑faceted events for OpenTable across our international markets with focus on EMEA. The ideal candidate has at least 5+ years experience working in industry‑facing B2B events, integrated B2C events, has a strong track record of crafting unforgettable experiences for the audience and can hit the ground running. This person should have a passion for the dining scene and get excited to craft and execute experiences that will get both restaurants and diners excited about OpenTable and its network, including customer dinners, partnership events, thought‑leadership series, trade shows, sponsorships and occasional diner facing events like chefs collabs, special experiences and food festivals.
People skills and passion for building relationships with our partners, suppliers, customers and internally within OpenTable are of paramount importance, along with a strong understanding of KPI and ROI metrics, results interpretation and presentation.
In this role, you will:
- Report to and work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, Events; you will also partner with our wider International Marketing team and various OpenTable departments (Sales, Design, Legal, Analytics, and Finance) to cultivate strong internal and external relationships.
- Support in the creation of industry event experiences, content, marketing materials, branded giveaways and hospitality initiatives to solidify OpenTable’s role as a trusted and valued partner within the restaurant community.
- Initiate and develop industry‑facing B2B events and integrated B2C events to increase brand awareness and create positive brand perception among restaurateurs and diners.
- Develop scalable and creative tactics in generating sales leads from B2B events, create opportunities for in‑person engagement and relationship building.
- Be prepared to roll your sleeves up for hands‑on execution work with event venues and agency/production companies in the run up to and during the events.

Requirements
- BA/BS degree required
- 5+ years of event management experience
- Full working proficiency in German language is a must – additional European languages e.g French/Italian is a bonus
- A tenacious solution‑oriented self‑starter who can hit the ground running, take ownership and show initiative
- Meticulous attention to detail and highly‑organised with the ability to identify roadblocks and troubleshoot efficiently and effectively
- A passion for restaurants, ideally paired with knowledge and understanding of hospitality
- Strong communication and collaborative relationship building skills as this role will interface regularly with diverse and cross‑functional internal and external stakeholders
- Comfortable with a wide variety of technologies (LLMs) and software (SalesForce) and ability to learn quickly
- Understanding of KPIs, comfort with data, numbers, budgets and focus on events leads and ROI measurement
- Strong project management skills; results focused with superb execution and follow‑through – “no job is too small or too big” attitude
- Experience exhibiting at trade shows
- Ability to travel abroad, to run and attend industry/company events which can on occasion include weekends and evenings
- A sense of humour, love of food and positive outlook to fit in with our strong performing team is a plus!
